My Professional Background

I received a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and my masters in social work from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. Prior to discovering my calling as a therapist, I worked in media production in NYC for 7 years. Working in media allowed me to understand the overarching hold technology has on individuals.

Since becoming licensed, I have honed my skills working in clinic settings with individuals and families, first at Union Settlement Organization in East Harlem, then at Family and Children’s Services of Ithaca. In both settings, I worked with a range of ages from 12 to the elderly.

In my work with young adults and college-aged students in particular, I have helped them navigate the particular challenges that leaving home for the first time can present combined with the help (or hindrance!) of technology. I love working with young adults as they figure out who they are, who they want to be, and how best to get there.
